Testimonials

  • Considering Solo Motherhood

The course provided a lot of information on considering becoming a solo mother. I felt overwhelmed with trying to find information and resources myself, but this course provided much of what I needed. Alisha is a fantastic facilitator, very knowledgeable, approachable, and always encouraged questions and made the whole experience feel personalised. She also provided a safe environment to discuss things. If you're trying to decide whether or not to pursue becoming a solo mum by choice I highly recommend this course.

I found this course to be very informative in helping me think about whether this is the right option for me. Alisha is a great presenter and the sessions were delivered in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It was also lovely to be able to meet and work through the course with other women going through a similar thought process with their journeys.

Hi,

I'm Alisha, and I have a gorgeous four-year-old daughter I conceived on my own using IVF and an unknown, clinic-recruited donor. The journey to my daughter took over 10 years. It included multiple rounds of fertility treatment, a divorce, and a stillborn son; then, I finally became a mum six weeks before my 40th birthday. I have interviewed over 100 women and experts through my podcast, "No Need for Prince Charming", and published multiple books supporting women and their donor-conceived children. I also help support solo mums by choice to create their village through my private Facebook groups, meet-ups, and international holidays.

After my maternity leave, I returned to the corporate career that I used to love, but I underestimated how much I had changed since becoming a mum. I went through an amazing period of self-discovery (including a very late ADHD diagnosis) and realised my passion was in helping other women see that they too could make their own dreams come true; they didn’t have to wait for the right person or the right time to make it happen, they just needed to believe in themselves.

Through my group courses and individual coaching, I am seeing women transform before my eyes. Seeing their increase in confidence, self-love, and self-belief brings me so much joy and I know their transformation is having a significant impact on their families.

I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve the life you’ve always dreamed of for yourself xx
